Solar lentigo in oily skin with enlarged pores and acne scarring.
Recurrence is a common concern among people considering REEPOT for solar lentigines.

Approximately one month after REEPOT treatment: a mild residual mark during recovery, not a final result.
Treatment planning depends on whether the lesion is a typical solar lentigo. REEPOT and other laser treatments may be completed in one or two sessions in selected cases, but a short treatment course does not mean that recurrence can be ruled out.
Another concern is the marks that may appear during healing. Mild residual marks after REEPOT often fade as recovery proceeds. An uncomplicated course may settle within about three months, but slow skin turnover, accompanying melasma, or other individual factors can extend recovery to six months, a year, or longer.

The appearance, severity, size, and duration of post-treatment marks vary considerably with individual healing characteristics. The photographs show a relatively mild recovery reaction. Mild marks may resolve over about three to six months when healing proceeds well.
Repeated friction, including exfoliation, forceful washing, or habitual rubbing, can provoke additional inflammation and delay or worsen recovery.
Gentle care remains important after DuoDERM is removed
Low-irritation care and protection after dressing removal are as important as keeping the dressing attached during the initial phase. Sunscreen, moisturizers, and lightening creams need to be considered with the goal of minimizing irritation during recovery.
