The Original Sculptra Master Summit press meeting took place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 4:50 to 6:00 p.m. at Park Studio on the fifth floor of Conrad Seoul. On the first Saturday of the new year, I attended the press meeting and took part in an interview after being selected as one of 30 physicians based on criteria including Sculptra treatment experience and case volume.

Over the previous year, I devoted considerable time to Sculptra treatment and teaching. Sculptra has a history of more than 26 years. It is a collagen-stimulating product made from poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA. When injected beneath the skin, the material gradually breaks down over a period of one year or more while stimulating the body’s own collagen production.

It is used for concerns such as hollow cheeks, folds around the mouth, and facial sagging. Interest has also grown in its use for age-related changes in areas including the buttocks, upper arms, and knees.

When I first began using Sculptra, it seemed that relatively few physicians were performing the treatment. Technical difficulty and concern about nodules, or lumps under the skin, appeared to be contributing factors. Although the product has a long history, treatment methods have not remained static. They have continued to evolve through clinical experience and analysis of cases.

In my lectures, I discussed the immediate-reconstitution approach updated in 2023, an 8–10 cc preparation volume, and small-volume syringes as practical measures aimed at reducing nodule risk. During lectures in different regions over the previous year, I discussed both how to approach aging skin with Sculptra and how it might be combined with energy-based treatments such as Ultherapy or Thermage. Methods intended to reduce nodules and improve procedural safety also formed an important part of those discussions.

Good results matter, and safe technique is essential

I have heard that the use of Sculptra is increasing. Taking part in this group brought both pride in representing Newve Clinic and a sense of responsibility. In future lectures, I intend to continue emphasizing safer technique for physicians who are new to the product or have only recently begun using it.

I am also pleased to hear that Sculptra, a treatment I value, is gaining popularity.
